JANUARY 2024 - VOLUME 26

Welcome to 2024! This year already looks primed for much innovation and advancement in the construction industry.

Last month in our newsletter, we focused on streamlining construction management processes and creating transparency across projects with effective collaboration, automated workflows and integrated scheduling, so we are ready to dive into what’s on the horizon for project management.

Most notably, I’m seeing a push for the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the construction management process, along with machine learning, BIM evolution, the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, global collaboration platforms, and other sustainability-driven innovations.

AI is a particularly interesting concept, as early indicators suggest that it can help enhance safety, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. This could be a game changer for design optimization, project management, and risk assessment.

In 2024, let's work together to harness the potential of advanced technologies like AI and find innovative ways to incorporate them into our construction management processes.

What technology changes are on the horizon for your business?

Here's to a year of growth, innovation, and successful projects.

Cheers!

In construction, blending technology with traditional operations methods is crucial for sustainable growth and efficiency. This mix transforms how we think, plan, and carry out construction projects. In this article, Connected World delves into the “Outlook 2024: What’s Next for Tech?”

The synergy between AI and architecture, engineering, and construction is set to reach new heights in 2024. AI and machine learning (ML) algorithms will mark a paradigm shift in how professionals approach their work, especially in design optimization, project management, and risk assessment.

Consider a scenario where AI analyzes historical project data, user preferences, and environmental factors to generate design alternatives that are aesthetically pleasing and optimized for sustainability and functionality.

This application of AI expedites the design phase and ensures that structures are visually appealing and meet the evolving demands of the environment and end-users.

Don’t get left behind.
Though the evolution of technology in construction is picking up speed, project teams must continue to learn about and adopt appropriate solutions so they don’t fall behind the competition. With the right technology mix, construction projects will be streamlined with greater efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
